RNLI Jersey is a highly trained team of local volunteers operating from two lifeboat stations (St Helier and St Catherine's) in Jersey, Channel Islands. During the summer months we are supported by our paid lifeguards who patrol Jersey's western beaches.
In 2022 the Lifeboats launched 65 times to help people at sea. Your donation will help RNLI Jersey continue its life saving activities.
Jersey has had a lifeboat since 1830, when a boat was kept near Havre des Pas. St Helier had its first RNLI station in 1884. There are two types of lifeboat stationed here in Jersey: the Tamar all-weather lifeboat (ALB), at St Helier and the Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat (ILB), of which one is stationed at each of St Helier and St Catherine. In Jersey we have over 50 unpaid volunteer crew who man our lifeboats or support them from the shore, supported by 50 fundraising team members.
RNLI Jersey is part of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution which operates across the UK, Channel Islands and Republic of Ireland and which is made up primarily of volunteers united by selflessness, skill and courage. The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea.
In Memoriam Donations. If you are making a donation in memory of a person (or in lieu of funerals flowers) we are very grateful to you and to the family of the individual who has passed away for thinking of the RNLI. Our In memoriam volunteer secretary writes to the families who have asked people to think of the RNLI when remembering their loved ones with our thanks. In the box called 'message to charity name', you can write a short message to us, including who the donation is in memory of if appropriate.
Thank you for supporting us.
