My name is Ramanathan Harihara and I’m based in Jersey, where I work at Ocorian. Alongside a busy professional life, running has become an important way for me to look after my health, reset mentally, and stay consistent. I’m taking on this 1,000‑mile running challenge over 12 months because I strongly believe in using personal effort to create positive impact. Rather than a one‑off event, this challenge is about showing that small, regular steps add up — both for personal wellbeing and for the charities being supported. The causes behind this challenge are ones I genuinely care about: supporting people living with diabetes, helping improve mental wellbeing for young people, and providing care and dignity for vulnerable adults through community‑based support. Spreading the challenge across a year allows me to raise awareness, stay accountable, and build sustained support for these charities rather than a short burst of activity. Every mile I run is logged publicly, and every donation goes directly to the charities. I’m grateful for any support and encouragement along the way — whether through donations, sharing the page, or simply following the journey. Thank you for helping turn miles into meaningful impact.
