About Daniel Matthews
What started as a simple oncology check-up with my mum turned into an unexpected but amazing opportunity!
While at the hospital, I met a lovely lady raising funds for the Friends of Jersey Oncology (FOJO) swimming team. We got chatting, had a good laugh, along with other patients, and she mentioned she was one swimmer short for this year’s Swimarathon Jersey held on Sunday 23rd March. Without hesitation, I jumped in—literally!
Now, with just a few days to go, I’m raising funds at short notice to support FOJO, a fantastic charity that helps cancer patients in Jersey.
Beyond medical care, many people need emotional and practical support, which FOJO provides when it’s most needed.
So, I’m asking you—my friends, family, and kind supporters—to dig deep and donate whatever you can. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference in the lives of those facing cancer.
