I have been running and training competitively for several years. It is my passion and I love it, it keeps me physically and mentally well. This year I want to share the benefit I get from running with others. I’ve chosen to run for Enable Jersey, a wonderful local charity which helps to give everybody the same opportunities and accessibility with the overall aim of creating a more inclusive community.
 In Jersey, almost one person in every seven is living with a disability. The world can be difficult to navigate when you can have a disability. Not all disabilities are visible. Enable supports anyone struggling to live a full life because of a disability. 
I understand some of the challenges facing those with disabilities. I was diagnosed with Lupus 10 years ago and periodically suffer flare ups which land me in hospital and/or bed for months. It can be lonely and isolating. 
Helping make the community we live in accessible to all and celebrating diversity is a society I would like to be part of.
