We are a team of 16 firefighters both Wholetime and On-call who will be taking part in this year's Around the Island Walk Relay. However, with a twist. Each of us will be completing our section wearing full firefighting kit (including cylinders). 

We want to push ourselves to support two incredible causes:

The Firefighters Charity - Providing essential support to firefighters and their families, helping them recover from injury, manage their mental health and cope with pressures of the job. 

The Around the Island Walk Trust - Raising vital funds for local Jersey Charities and community projects across the island. 

Split into teams of four, we will be covering the 48-mile walk together in a relay which calculates to 12 miles each, roughly. The kit we will be carrying will be heavy and the miles will be long (especially the cliff paths), but it's not comparable to the challenges faced by those these charities help every day.
