About Joanne and Eleanor Vandermerwe-Mahon
We are a mom and daughter team who have signed up for a charity event called JET Jaunt. It is a charity race from St Malo to Monaco, on public transport only, like "Race Across the World". The race aims to raise money and awareness for the Jersey Employment Trust [JET] which helps young people with disabilities get into employment. It takes place from 27th to 29th September. Jersey Employment Trust
The Jersey Employment Trust is a registered charity that supports Islanders who have a disability or long-term health condition secure and sustain work. Our social enterprise Acorn in Trinity also provides work and training opportunities.
Across the organisation, we support more than 500 people a year. More than half of our clients now report mental health issues as their primary disability.
