About Sam
In August 2024, I was diagnosed with colon cancer and underwent immediate surgery and aggressive chemotherapy.
Thanks to the team at Jersey General, and the FOJO team, I was able to run an emotional 6k in December to support Durrell, one of my favourite places, and causes in Jersey.
8 months on, it seems a fitting way to hopefully bookend my treatment by raising money for both at the world's greatest event for positive vibes - the London Marathon.

Our aim is for more diverse, beautiful and resilient natural landscapes in which species can thrive and people can enjoy a deeper connection with nature. Our strategy concentrates on the rewilding of animals, the rewilding of ecosystems and the rewilding of people.

Friends of Jersey Oncology
Friends of Jersey Oncology (FOJO) is a charity that was formed to enhance the services the unit provides. Our fundraising helps to provide additional care, comfort and support for patients and their loved ones during their treatment. A cancer diagnosis can have a huge impact on patients, their families and caregivers. We recognise this and offer support at the right time to make the transition to cancer treatment less daunting.
