About Ryan O'Shea
Hello All,
Firstly thank you to everyone who sponsored me for the Island Walk, I am glad to say that I completed it in an official time of 17hrs 45mins 11 sec (the Virus and Ear infection didn't help!).
Now I have completed that challange I have set my sights on the Royal Parks Half Marathon in London!
This will be my second ever half marathon and my first ever off island half marathon.
I am raising money for The Brain Tumour Charity (https://www.thebraintumourcharity.org), I need to raise a minimum of £450.00 to secure my place!
You may already know in April/May 2022 I was diagnosed with a brain tumour and underwent double brain surgery. Due to the location of my tumour it was not possible to remove it but it was possible to have a shunt installed internally.
Since the new year I have joined a local run club (Rock n Road Runners) to help me lose weight and help with my mental health.
I am hoping this will increase the awareness to all people but especially to the young, who may not think about this happening to them (I was one of them).
I am grateful for any amount you are able to contribute towards my target.
