About Nepal Run Club UK

Profile picture

This fundraising campaign has been launched in coordination with Nepal Run Club UK to support families affected by the devastating floods that struck Nepal in August 2026.
On 26 August 2026, a catastrophic glacial collapse in the Himalayas triggered massive flash floods across northern Nepal, sweeping away entire communities within minutes and causing one of the deadliest natural disasters in the country's recent history.
More than 1114 people have now lost their lives, it was 650 when we originally wrote this. Over 2,300 people remain missing, and an estimated 90,000 people have been affected. Thousands of families have lost their homes, livelihoods, schools, and community infrastructure. Many survivors have lost loved ones and are now facing an uncertain future with limited access to shelter, food, clothing, and essential supplies.
The disaster has been particularly devastating for children. More than 11,000 children have been affected, while at least 54 schools have been damaged or destroyed, disrupting education and leaving many young people vulnerable.
In response, runners across the United Kingdom are coming together through a series of fundraising activities, including participation in The Big Half Marathon, to raise funds for those affected by this tragedy.
Every donation will help provide:
Emergency food and drinking water
Clothing, blankets, and essential household supplies
Support for displaced families
Assistance for vulnerable children and affected communities
Immediate relief and recovery support in flood-affected areas
Nepal Run Club UK will work with authorised local organisations, community groups, and relevant government authorities in Nepal to help ensure that funds and support reach those most in need.
Whether you donate £5 or £500, your contribution will help bring hope, dignity, and practical assistance to families working to rebuild their lives after this devastating disaster.
Together, we can turn every mile run into meaningful support for the people of Nepal.
Please donate and help Nepal recover, rebuild, and rise again.

Beneficiary: Nepal Flood Relief Fund (via Nepal Run Club UK and authorised relief partners)
