Seven marathons in seven days challenge
This summer (18th-24th August), I’m taking on an incredible challenge: running seven marathons in seven days across England, Wales, Guernsey, Sark, and Jersey. I’m doing this to raise funds for Allmattersneurodiverse, a charity dedicated to raising awareness and supporting families with neurodiverse children.
The money raised will help create an event aimed at encouraging more neurodiverse young people to get involved in sport and fitness—an area that has had a transformative impact on my own life.
For those who don’t know, I have dyspraxia (developmental coordination disorder) and undiagnosed ADHD. Living with neurodiverse conditions comes with its challenges, but I’ve never let them hold me back—and neither should anyone else.
I discovered running when I was 17, making this year the 10th anniversary of my journey. I am under no illusion that this challenge will be tough, the training alone, I’ll have to run 100 miles a week in preparation.
Unfortunately, for many neurodiverse individuals, the challenges they face don’t disappear so quickly. They often endure a lifetime of being misunderstood, fighting for their right in the workplace, and constantly coming up with strategies to fit in and find solutions to life’s many hurdles.
The message is simple: don’t let anything hold you back. Believe in yourself.

AllMatters Neurodiverse Jersey
We are a collective of Neurodivergent Individuals receptive to the emerging needs and path of our neurodivergent community. Neurodiversity is the diversity of human minds, the infinite variation in neurocognitive functioning within humanity and those who embrace the Neurodiversity Paradigm do not use pathologizing terms like “disorder” to describe neurocognitive variants such as Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, etc.
As a Neurodiversity-Affirming Charity we believe if a young person or adult faces challenges in their day-to-day life it is the environment that needs fixing not the individual. When appropriately accommodated individuals with neurocognitive differences can succeed, be a thriving member of our community and have autonomy over their identity. The Charity will strive for increased acceptance, understanding and accommodations for the neurodivergent community to ensure they receive the same rights, social justice and privileges afforded to others.
