Our Sleigh Relay is back!

This year we are raising vital funds to help us in taking a HW team of 10 over to Guernsey in 2023, so that we can deliver one of our much loved weekend event for a number of children and adults on our sister island.

As this is the time of year for giving and build up to December 25th, we have set our target at £12,000 which should hopefully see us have all the travel, accommodation and vehicle costs covered!

The official 'Sleigh Relay' will be on Saturday the 17th of December 2022.

This where our team will be pulling our custom sleigh/adaptive surf board up and down the Esplanade cycle track for 12 hours straight. We figured that Father Christmas/Santa/Jolly Old St.Nick, or whatever you know him as, delivers his presents in a 12 hour window and so we would honour this.

We will be pulling sleigh and night, from 12:00 until 00:00!  Any Volunteers, Athletes and their families are welcome to help us. Just make sure to get in touch before so we can assign you a time. The main meet points will be at Frigate and St.Brelades Parish Hall.  The Parish Hall will have a marquee.

Please feel free to come down and support, bring us some warm drinks and mince pies. Oh and don't forget to donate!!

Healing Waves

Healing Waves is a charity based in Jersey Channel Islands. We enable individuals with physical, neurological & mental health challenges to access the ocean in a safe way, to participate in surf, paddle and flowrider sessions.

We offer Ocean Therapy through guided surf, paddle and flow sessions. These water sports are used as a vessel, helping our athletes to gain more self-confidence and communication skills, whilst providing therapy and respite for all.  Water sports can stimulate the ‘stoke’ like feeling and can promote a sense of accomplishment and empowerment in our Athletes, whilst families, friends and carers cheer them on from the side lines.  We encourage loved ones and carers to participate in sessions, helping to strengthen the (often strained) bonds which are vital for healthy relationships.
