About Sophie Power
I’ll be taking on the biggest challenge of my life – attempting to set a Guinness World Record and become the fastest woman to cross Ireland, from Malin Head in the north to Mizen Head in the south.
The current record is 3 days, 15 hours, 36 minutes set by the amazing Mimi Anderson in 2012. To beat it I’ll have to run over 100 miles (160km) every day! I plan on taking only 20-40 minutes of sleep per night to do this.
I’m passionate about breaking down barriers for women and girls in sport, and so I’m running to raise money for SheRACES. There is so much work to be done, but with your help we can drive real change – so please support me if you can!
You can track me here! My crew will read out all your messages to me as I run to keep me going (bad jokes very welcome!).
