I, like just about everyone else, have experienced the dreadful impact that cancer has across the world. My own bout with cancer was fortunately successfully treated 15 years ago, however too many people have not had a similar experience.

In Perth Australia, our family has for many years supported similar research conducted by the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research. Our fundraising activities have not only raised much needed funds but also raised community awareness and a sense of camaraderie amongst our group of friends. 

The invite from Tony Butler and Peter Freeman to participate in the 10th anniversary Le Cure ride and experience the amazing Alpine scenery whilst raising funds for a similar cause, was an opportunity not to be squandered - no matter how painful it will be going up those hills !!
