About Ailsa McWilliam
There's 4 good reasons why I'm signing up for another year of the Heavy Metal Truants virtual and physical rides and they are Save the Children, Teenage Cancer Trust, NSPCC Childline and Nordoff Robbins. Each of which do incredible work, read any story of their work and you'll know why I'm doing this.
What am I doing, to make you make to hand over the money? Well...My longest cycle yet, starting at 9am on 25th May, 400km (254 miles) in 27 hours.
Cycling to Download Festival, 175 miles over 3 days, the first night camping somewhere near Milton Keynes.
Running the Hadrian's Wall Half Marathon in October, I love cycling, but hate running!
Finally in the next few months I'll be cutting my hair and donating it to make a wig for someone with hair loss. This might be due to cancer treatment or other causes.
