We all have cancer stories.
For me, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2005. It was detected early, by chance, so I was really lucky and got prompt and effective treatment.
Two members of my closest family have experienced breast cancer or pre-cancerous cells in breast tissue.
So, any support I can give, or persuade others to give, for research into all forms of cancer detection, prevention and treatment is a very important personal cause.
This Summer, please join me in supporting the inspirational research team at The Royal Marsden, headed by Prof Nick Turner with whom I will be riding in Le Cure 2024.
I fully embrace the middle age man in lycra phenomenon, and this combines it with raising money for a standout excellent cause.
Plus, we pay all our own expenses so ABSOLUTELY EVERY PENNY goes straight to the Royal Marsden research team.
