Donna has chosen to raise funds for Dementia Jersey and is taking part in 50 Mile Challenge - Dementia Jersey 2024 in memory of Keith Newman
This is the second time taking part in this event. Having lost my Dad to Alzheimers and dementia I am aware of the devastating effect this has on loved ones. I am hopeful a cure will be found for this disease and in the meantime hope that funds raised will help those suffering and caring for those affected.
We are helping to make Jersey a more Dementia friendly island. We want all those people affected by Dementia, or living with the disease to be understood, welcomed and supported.
All funds raised from the 50 Mile Challenge will be held in Jersey and utilised to support the dementia community.
Dementia Jersey offers expert advice, support, and information to anyone affected by dementia in Jersey. We offer therapeutic activities through art, music and swimming, as well as brain training and reorientation programmes, carer support groups. We also provide educational programmes to the community to help raise awareness of dementia. Together our services help connect people and create a more dementia friendly island.
