As I approach turning 40, I decided to take on a challenge that I have often wondered whether I could complete and just how far I could go. I will be running for 24 hours along St Aubin's bay (from the Freedom Tree to St Aubin and back) aiming to complete a minimum of 100 miles (16 laps). This will be a major step up in intensity and a new mental and physical challenge from the 4x4x48 I did last year or the ultra marathons I have done historically (max 48 miles or 9 hours running). As in the past, my chosen charity is Centrepoint, who are also celebrating turning 40 this year. They offer unbelievable support to me and my family with their childcare services, The Space, being of particular note as it is the only after school service and holiday club available to Teddy due to his additional needs. Any money raised will help to ensure that The Space can remain open and offer services to as many children adn families as possible.
