I was diagnosed with a serious heart condition about 13 years ago and was not told the outlook was good. Cardiologist said exercise gently, avoid stress, eat porridge and put your affairs in order.
About 3 years ago I was fitted with a resynchronisation pacemaker to make my heart beat with the correct ventricle synchronisation and told to carry on with the porridge and walking and things started to get a bit better.
I had a scan over Christmas and I've been told my heart function is now 'normal' and pretty much everything has changed.
One way I'm celebrating is to join the 280km Heavy Metal Truants cycle ride. would appreciate any donations.
