Cancer is the worst & can't think of one person that this horrendous disease hasn't impacted.
Two of my grandparents have passed as a result of it; Nana Joan back in 2001 and Grandad most recently last August. I was, in a weird way, quite fortunate to be too young to understand what was happening with Nana Joan. Watching Grandad's decline, quite frankly, broke me.
I'm challenging myself to run the Race for Life (yes, you've read that correctly; RUN) in order to raise funds for vital research so that fewer people have to feel the negative impacts of cancer.
