About Helen Whittaker
I’m a repeat rider and dedicated fundraiser for the wondrous Heavy Metal Truants. Saddle soreness is not my favourite thing. Riding on my tod for miles on end, not my favourite thing either. Knowing there’s a whole gang of us forming a wonderful critical mass that makes a difference. Attending the cheque presentation at the end of each ride and witnessing the difference it makes for the work of ChildLine, Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy, Teenage Cancer Trust and Save The Children. That’s my thing. That pretty much nails it and so when HMT HQ says it’s time, I’ll say “go on then - I’ll do it again”, it’s so worth the effort.
