The Bidwells Oxford Town and Gown is a 10K run in Oxford to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy UK. The 2024 event will take place on 12th May, and I'll be running as part of team LMH.
Over the past few weeks, I've been training for this event by increasing my running distance from 5K to 10K (by 1K a week), in addition to doing a weekly 5K parkrun.
Please sponser my run to help raise as much money as we can for Muscular Dystrophy UK
Entries for the Bidwells Oxford 10k have now SOLD OUT. If you'd like to be the first to hear about our 2025 event, please register your interest on our website www.townandgown10k.com/oxford
Taking place on Sunday 12 May 2024, Oxford Town and Gown is the oldest run in the series. It started in 1982 by local runners as a fun run to raise funds for muscular dystrophy and still to this day all profits from the race go to Muscular Dystrophy UK (MDUK).
Our unique route is the only closed-road City Centre 10k in Oxford with a glorious stretch along the River Cherwell and finish in the University Parks. In 2019, the run was awarded Best 10k in South East England by the Running Awards.
