Two years ago I couldn’t run the length of myself, but running regularly helped keep me well in a hard season of life last year. This year, I felt like I needed a new challenge. A 209 mile traverse of Iceland in 10 days seemed like a decent stretch goal! I started training in January, and between now and August I’ll be clocking up a LOT of miles.
I’m part of a team raising funds for Rock 2 Recovery, a charitable organisation who work with blue light and armed forces personnel and their families to help them tackle the effects of stress. I’m funding my own place on the trip, so donations go straight to them.
