About Henrietta Baxter
Henrietta has chosen to raise funds for Rock2Recovery and is taking part in Great Norse Run 2024
For anyone that knows me, I go to the gym and like to cycle to work, but running is not my 'thing'. Until March the furthest I'd run was about 3.5 miles. Now I have signed up to do the Great Norse Run in Iceland in August. Running/walking 209 miles across the lava fields, volcanic ranges and glaciers from the north to the south of the country.
This is going to take 9 days and as well as running, our accommodation is basic, camping most nights, with whatever the weather throws at us.
This is a challenge I am not taking lightly, and training is in full swing in order to run a marathon a day for 8 days.
I am raising money for Rock2Recovery. A charity that offers help and advice for service men and women and veterans of all emergency services and their families affected by stress.
Any donation big or small that you can give to help raise as much as possible would be really appreciated and also spur me on to keep running. 100% of what you give goes straight to the charity. Although this is a really daunting task, I am both nervous and excited and am looking forward to the challenge, the scenery and meeting people along the way.
Thank you so much!
