About Kirsty Clarke
In 2022, my beautiful mum was diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma, and she bravely fought this devastating disease far longer than the doctors expected. In April 2024, she finally earned her wings. Our family is heartbroken by her loss. She was a vibrant, healthy 56-year-old woman when she was diagnosed, 58 when her life was cruelly stolen, with the last 18 months marred by endless struggle. I'm raising money for this charity to help other families facing such painful diagnoses and the grim prognosis that comes with this often-overlooked cancer, which I believe is one of the most brutal. In my mum’s case, it robbed her of the ability to speak, walk, think, read, write—everything that makes life meaningful became nearly impossible. We urgently need to raise awareness, improve the quality of life for those suffering from this disease, and, ultimately, find a cure.
