I'm Kitt, and I've been trying (and failing) to run regularly for years to improve my cardio fitness. I didn't know how to start, it bored me, every excuse not to do it, I found it.
This year I walked alongside part of the race route and figured "I could do this. I'm already used to training. I just gotta learn to run. Toddlers can run. It'll be fine." Now I'm running three days a week and kind of loving it.
I'm just here for a good time so my lofty ambition is to finish in under three hours. That's all I want for the 2025 Plymouth Half, and depending how it goes I'll start thinking about and working to a full the following year.
I'm up for the challenge but it's going to be tough, so I am rattling the donation tin. There are some great charities affiliated with the 2025 race but I have chosen Devon And Cornwall Refugee Support. It would mean the world if you could spare a few quid to help some of the most vulnerable in our community.
