I have cerebral palsy which makes me like a wobbly jelly burning up energy like a gas guzzler, so I will be taking part in this event by pushing myself in my manual wheelchair, joined by my sister Rosie, who will be running alongside me.
I have been honoured to have known a number of good friends with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy since my college days, sadly losing most of them over the years due to the cruel and tragic condition that is muscular dystrophy. They are flying free and partying hard in heaven right now, so this is my way of saluting my friends whilst raising awareness of muscular dystrophy and the need for continued funding and research. My good friend Tyran is still fighting to this day and full of life, thanks to the continued research and subsequent support for those living with muscular dystrophy.
