I started my running journey about 7 years ago and I’ve never looked back. Running has given me so much. It’s built up my confidence and helped me when I’ve struggled mentally. Now, I’m not a born runner, in fact I’ve never really been particularly athletic, but I’ve always been determined and it’s that determination that has brought me to this point. Running a half- marathon was never something I thought I could do but over the years I’ve managed to build up my endurance and each time I reached a new running goal, the pride I felt was immeasurable. From 1K, to 5K, to 10K and so on, and I’m so excited to be taking on this challenge.
Almost a year and a half ago, I gave birth to my beautiful baby boy, Isaac, and returning to running was a big, big challenge. Last year, I took Isaac to cheer on his Daddy at the finish line of the Stroud Half and I knew from that point I wanted to take on the challenge myself.
I also wanted to run on behalf of a charity and couldn’t be happier to be raising money for Stroud’s The Door. The work they do for young people and their families is so important. It’s a great cause, and any donation you can make will go towards supporting those who need it. Please visit their website for more information on the brilliant work and services they offer www.thedoor.org.uk
Every penny will spur me on through the miles and your support means the world to me! Thank you.
With love, gratitude and determination,
Alice xxx
