About GEORGE PYPER

Profile picture

I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2005. It was detected early, by chance, so I was really lucky and got prompt and effective treatment.

It means that, for me, any support I can give, or persuade others to give, for research into all forms of cancer detection, prevention and treatment is a very important personal cause.

So, this Summer, please join me in supporting the inspirational research team at The Royal Marsden, headed by Prof Nick Turner with whom I will be riding in Le Cure 2025.

Combining a twisted enjoyment of road cycling with raising money for a standout excellent cause, is a win-win. Plus, we pay all our own expenses so ABSOLUTELY EVERY PENNY goes straight to the Royal Marsden research team.

Thank you and please follow me on strava, instagram or tiktok for all updates...

About Le Cure 2025

Dear Curistas

As you probably know, Le Cure de France is a charity cycling event established in 2014 to raise money for breast cancer research at the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.  So far we have raised over £3 million to fund our Le Cure fellowships, but have much more work to do to help cure cancer.

2025 promises to be another special year.  Back in the heartlands of the French Alps, the route will see Curistas take on the spectacular Lacets de Montvernier, the mighty Galibier and finish with a double ascent of the fabled Alpe d'Huez.

Get signing up and get cycling!  We can't wait for you to join us in the Alps and raising money to fund new, cutting-edge cancer research at the Royal Marsden Hospital.
