Hello!

On the weekend of 24th November 2024, myself (Freia) and Jasper will be attempting to  hitchhike from Edinburgh to Paris in under 24 hours. Our goal is to raise critical funds and awareness to combat the ongoing Humanitarian crisis in Yemen which we feel has been largely neglected by the global media, resulting in insufficient aid.

Since 2014, the people of Yemen have been devastated by civil war, famine, and widespread violence, resulting in one of the world’s worst humanitarian emergencies.Today, 21.6 million people, which is 80% of the entire population, are in desperate need of humanitarian assistance.

Our chosen charity of Human Appeal aims to provide necessary support to these people through initiatives such as supplying family food packages, constructing sustainable water resources and building medical units.

Therefore, in light of the increasingly devastating situation and the lack of news coverage we felt drawn to undertaking this challenge in support of the Yemen Emergency appeal.
