This is my 5th year participating in the Heavy Metal Truants Virtual Challenge. In 2020, I learned about the Heavy Metal Truants through Iron Maiden’s Facebook page. With the pandemic in full force that year, I decided to get back into running and signed up for the HMT virtual challenge. Working for a nonprofit organization myself, I knew of the heavy burden the pandemic had on fundraising and providing services to those in need. 
 

It’s amazing and inspiring how the metal community comes together to not only complete a daunting challenge but to raise money for incredible organizations who provide support to those in our communities. Here’s to another year! Up the Irons!
