Sue has chosen to raise funds for Dementia Jersey and is taking part in 50 Mile Challenge - Dementia Jersey 2025 in memory of Amy Mathys
My mum was an amazing woman always there for me and my family. She was more like my best friend than a mum I could tell her anything and she was always there to support me. Watching her change due to Dementia was the hardest thing I have ever witnessed.
We are helping to make Jersey a more Dementia friendly island. We want all those people affected by Dementia, or living with the disease to be understood, welcomed and supported.
All funds raised from the 50 Mile Challenge will be held in Jersey and utilised to support the dementia community.
Dementia Jersey offers expert advice, support, and information to anyone affected by dementia in Jersey. We offer therapeutic activities through art, music and swimming, as well as brain training and reorientation programmes, carer support groups. We also provide educational programmes to the community to help raise awareness of dementia. Together our services help connect people and create a more dementia friendly island.
