Running in memory of my Dad Gary Lear, he was diagnosed with a GMB4 Brain tumor in April 2016 and with surgery was given 21 months. He was able to see his 2nd granddaughter born. He was my true inspiration for life. Even when faced with this devastating diagnosis he stayed strong not once showing me or his granddaughters he was scared of what was to come. I have been part of the athletics community all my life mainly a sprinter for Bitton road runners as a young lad, but now I run along with my daughters Roxy and Lexie who are proud members of Somer Ac and as of last year so am I now to. I run this 10k and all other races in my Dad's memory and I know he will be watching us still cheering from the best seats in the house.
Dorothy house cared for my dad and us as a family in the final few months of his life, there work is so vital to so many we can't thank them enough.
