“Right, so this has taken a while to write but here goes. As some of you may know, our families lives were turned upside down at Christmas when we were given the news that my wonderful sister had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Despite overwhelming feelings of sadness and disbelief, this tragic turn of events has pulled us even closer. With that in mind, despite the fact that I can't currently run a bath or for a bus, I am going to complete the race for life here in Guernsey for Cancer Research. This horrible disease has the ability to rip lives apart. It affects all facets of your life and overtakes all. With that in mind, I am asking for donations to support getting my fat ass off the sofa and into shape to help raise some much needed money for cancer research. Any donation would be welcomed with open arms, and greeted with hugs.”

Thank you to everyone who has supported Bright Electrical Race For Life. Last year we raised as astounding £40,000! How much can we raise toward the fight against cancer this year?
Money raised will be going to Cancer Research UK/Guernsey Branch. The charity forwards the donations to the Southampton Research Centre, which has top class facilities and expertise to make real differences to Channel Island patients in the prevention management and future cures of Cancer.
