About Lorna Pestana

Jamie and I took part in the very first JET Jaunt in September 2024 and loved it! We have been really looking forward to doing this again to raise funds for Jersey Employment Trust. This year we have roped in Robyn and her boyfriend, Bradley and Dillon and his girlfriend Francesca so it will be a real family affair, all racing against each other to reach Prague first having completed all the challenges. I'm sure we will have a story or two to tell afterwards! Everyone was so generous last year with sponsorship, please do the same again this year so we can continue to support islanders who have a disability or long-term health condition to secure and sustain work in Jersey. Thank you!

Jersey Employment Trust

The Jersey Employment Trust is a registered charity that supports Islanders who have a disability or long-term health condition secure and sustain work. Our social enterprise Acorn in Trinity also provides work and training opportunities.
Across the organisation, we support more than 500 people a year. More than half of our clients now report mental health issues as their primary disability.

About JET Jaunt 2025

Ready, JET, Go!

The second JET Jaunt, sponsored by CSC, is set to be an exciting adventure!
Embracing spontaneity can lead to the most memorable experiences. Without over-planning, you’re free to make decisions on the fly, discover hidden gems, and truly immerse yourself in the journey. Whether it’s problem-solving, team-building or liaising with locals, the unknown middle of your trip is where the magic happens.
The JET Jaunt is going to give just a little flavour of the BBC TV programme Race Across the World, although we don’t have a £20,000 cash prize and you can use your smartphone!
We are proud to be working with CSC, Ports of Jersey and All Island Media on the second JET Jaunt, supporting Islanders who have a disability or long-term health condition in the workplace.
We are also working in conjunction with Lupine Travel, who are the masterminds behind the challenges and checkpoints.

WHAT IS THE FUNDRAISING TARGET?
For the JET Jaunt, a team of two is being asked to raise a minimum of £500.
