About Ben Le Cornu

Profile picture

I’m taking on this charity cycle in memory of my papa, someone who meant the world to me and left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

My papa was always there with a happy smile, great guidance, a helping hand and many jokes. He lived his life with compassion and courage, and I carry his memory with me every day.

Cycling this event feels like a great way to give something back—supporting a place that helped him and our family through the difficult times.

Each kilometre I ride will be a reminder of the good times, the lessons he taught me and all the fun along the way.

Thank you for your support.

Fundraising Information

This fundraising page benefits the following good cause:

Jersey Hospice Care

Jersey Hospice Care is the island’s only hospice – providing specialist palliative care for people with life-limiting conditions. Services include the Specialist Palliative Care Team – who support people at home, in hospital, and in care homes, an In Patient Unit providing a home away from home, educational programmes, complementary therapy, emotional, spiritual and faith support, and community bereavement services. Jersey Hospice Care is an independent charity, providing all its services without a charge to patients. It costs £18,000 a day to run – funded mainly by the generosity of islanders. This comes in the form of donations, fundraising, and sales in our charity shops, as well as through the outstanding work of the dedicated volunteers who give their time and skills to keep Hospice running.
