I had the great pleasure of participating in my first cycle to MIPIM in 2018. I had a fantastic time but it was tough! The distance and the cycling were made even more challenging by the weather which consisted of rain, wind, rain, wind and more rain. The sun made an appearance for the last couple of days …
Amazingly, I was invited to come back again this year to be a Ride Captain which is a great privilege but also lots of extra work! I will be trying to get myself and support the rest of my team get themselves to Cannes in one piece along with my co-Captain. So far, this journey has been great - lots of communication with my team, lots of cycling and answering lots of questions. I just hope they all enjoy it as much as I did!
The main aim this event sets to achieve, other than the networking and cycling, is raising tonnes of money for the Club Peloton charities which includes Coram (see the information on the right to understand what fantastic work this charity does). It is a pleasure to raise funds again for them this year.Over six days cyclists will take part in a relay from London to the MIPIM property fair in Cannes. Each rider completes an average of two 60km stages each day, with a break of up to 4 hours between each stage. Riders will complete at least 720km over the 6 days.
This charity relay provides you with a fantastic challenge, excellent networking opportunities and a chance to change the lives of those most in need.
THE RIDE
