The first rule of Yellow Sub is; everything starts with WHY. Our WHY, and stated direction of travel, is to create a sustainable planet. The HOW is through focusing our business, and every decision within it, to the promotion and achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals #globalgoals #UNSDG
So WHY cycle 1,500km (north of 150 miles/day) across France in 6 days you say?
Cycling has always been close to my heart. It is also an intrinsically sustainable way to travel and so entirely consistent with our WHY. It’s also an amazing way to see an entire country at a bike’s pace, whilst hopefully raising some cash for a truly excellent children’s charity (https://www.coram.org.uk/ - Every child should be respected and protected). Life's all about the journey after all #livelifeyellow
So in summer 2018, I invested in a road bike (of sorts) and some Lycra and began training for this epic adventure. This first step was made possible with more than a little help from Property Insurance Initiatives (Pii) (https://piiuk.com/) who very kindly sponsored the costs of entry. The next and most important challenge, is to reach and breach the £3,000 fundraising target!
Any help and support you can give is very much appreciated!
Thanks a million.
Alex
