About Leila Miles

Profile picture

On 22 March 2026 I’ll be taking on the Jersey Hospice to Hospice Half Marathon running 13.1 miles across our beautiful island to raise funds for Jersey Hospice Care, a charity that provides incredible support, dignity, and comfort to people living with life limiting conditions and their families. This run is especially close to my heart. I’m running in honour of my dear friend, who is courageously living with cancer. Their strength, positivity, and grace in the face of unimaginable challenges inspire me every single day. This run is my way of showing love, support for them, and for the hospice teams who do such vital work. Jersey Hospice Care relies on donations to continue offering compassionate care not only within their hospice, but also in people’s homes, helping families make the most of every precious moment together. Every pound raised will go directly towards providing comfort, care, and hope to those who need it most.

Fundraising Information

This fundraising page benefits the following good cause:

Jersey Hospice Care

Jersey Hospice Care is the island’s only hospice – providing specialist palliative care for people with life-limiting conditions. Services include the Specialist Palliative Care Team – who support people at home, in hospital, and in care homes, an In Patient Unit providing a home away from home, educational programmes, complementary therapy, emotional, spiritual and faith support, and community bereavement services. Jersey Hospice Care is an independent charity, providing all its services without a charge to patients. It costs £18,000 a day to run – funded mainly by the generosity of islanders. This comes in the form of donations, fundraising, and sales in our charity shops, as well as through the outstanding work of the dedicated volunteers who give their time and skills to keep Hospice running.
