I’m a Senior Asset Manager at L&G Real Assets, looking after a range of retail and leisure properties as well as a couple of industrial and office parks.
A climber at heart I finally succumb to peer pressure from cycling colleagues internally and signed up for the Leeds to London Northern Power Leg ride this time last year, without even owning a bike... After some training I just about made the ride and thoroughly enjoyed it, despite using a borrowed bike that was nearly as old as me...
Post the ride I went out and brought a nice new one and been ensuring that I’m getting my money’s worth by cycling into work, two or three times a week ever since. I live near Bromley, Kent and I’m a married father of three, albeit after all the training I’m going to have to do for this, I may shortly be a single father of free ;-)
I’ve been surprised by cycling (even though I’d never really done more than a bit of mountain biking) as I do enjoy it, especially the down hills and I don’t even mind up hills! I just love being outside.
