I became passionate about cycling after spending time in the middle east while I was a lawyer for Clifford Chance in Dubai. I became immersed in the local triathlon, cycling and “hash house” harrier clubs, spending most free hours in the desert or cycling the back roads of Riyadh and beyond. Over the next 10 years I have competed in many full and half Ironman competitions, marathons and cycle challenges in NZ and abroad.
Now based back in New Zealand, I have launched a luxury bike storage and security company, Velohawk, which is manufactured in the UK. Splitting my time between the UK, Europe and New Zealand offers me the ability to delve into and meet so many interesting people in the unique culture that is road cycling.
This ride offers me the ability to also support one of England's oldest children's charities which is close to our hearts. We have a young family with a beautiful little girl that has a medical condition that we have been able to manage with the help of accomplished doctors. We also support Action.org in the UK, promoting funds for children with medical conditions.
This ride is to help support the Coram charity and become part of an exciting ride with the Mipim/Club Peloton team. Over six days cyclists will take part in a relay from London to the MIPIM property fair in Cannes. Each rider completes an average of two 60km stages each day, with a break of up to 4 hours between each stage. Riders will complete at least 720km over the 6 days.
This charity relay provides you with a fantastic challenge, excellent networking opportunities and a chance to change the lives of those most in need.
