About Daniel Griffiths

Profile picture

This August I'm riding Le Cure De France: 397km and over 10,000 metres of climbing through the Alps in four days.
Then the Le Cure Classic in September and Hell of the North in October. All three of Le Cure's rides this year. It seemed like a good idea when I signed up. Mostly it still does.
The going up I'm fine with. It's the coming down that terrifies me. That's where your money and your messages will be doing their job. Le Cure is a small charity started by cyclists, and since 2014 it's raised over £3.8 million for The Royal Marsden. That's funded eight research fellowships whose work has changed how cancers are found and treated. Every pound donated here goes to that research. Cancer has a way of finding the people we love. This is me doing something to fight back. Whatever you can give, thank you.

About Le Cure 2026

Dear Curistas

As you probably know, if you've got this far, Le Cure de France is a charity cycling event established in 2014 to raise money for breast cancer research at the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.  So far we have raised over £3.8 million to fund our 8 Le Cure Research Fellowships (and counting), but have much more work to do to help cure cancer.

The route for 2026 includes the formidable Cime de la Bonette (the highest paved road in the Alps), the Col de l'Iseran (the highest mountain pass) and the might Col d'Izoard - fondly remembered from our first ever Le Cure.

Sign up and get cycling!  We can't wait for you to join us in the Alps to raise money to fund new, cutting-edge cancer research at the Royal Marsden Hospital.
