Training for an ultra-marathon teaches you something simple but hard: progress comes from showing up—especially when it’s difficult. It’s built on quiet discipline, resilience through setbacks, and the decision to keep going when the outcome is uncertain.

For many people living with spinal cord injury, that same reality isn’t a choice—it’s daily life. There is currently no cure. Charities like Aspire exist to make sure people aren’t left to figure that out alone—providing accessible housing, support into work, and the practical help needed to rebuild independence.
