The True Grit Wetwheels Challenge is a thrilling obstacle course set in the dramatic surroundings of Ronez Quarry. Designed to test determination, teamwork, and resilience, the event offers something for everyone, with multiple distances and challenge levels to choose from.

Obstacle Solo (Approx. 16 obstacles) – Age 16+
Take on the course solo completing approximately 16 obstacles.

Obstacle Solo (Approx. 26 obstacles) – Age 16+

Take on the course solo completing approximately 26 obstacles.

Quarry Elite (Approx. 26 obstacles) – Age 16+
A timed competitive category where every obstacle must be completed. Are you ready to race the quarry?

Obstacle Team (Approx. 26 obstacles) – Age 16+
Team up in groups of three and conquer the course together, supporting one another every step of the way.

Youth Challenge – Short Course (Approx. 12 obstacles) - Year 4+
A fun and achievable introduction to obstacle racing with approximately 12 obstacles.

Youth Challenge – Long Course (Approx. 16 obstacles) - Year 6+
A step up in challenge with approximately 16 obstacles for those ready to go further.

Family Ticket - (Approx. 16 obstacles)
Take on the adventure together as a family and enjoy approximately 16 obstacles side by side.

The Course

Set within one of Jersey’s most striking landscapes, the challenge takes participants deep into the heart of Ronez Quarry on the island’s rugged north coast.

Runners will begin in waves at the top of the quarry before descending approximately 24 metres below sea level into the quarry floor. From there, the route winds through demanding terrain, steep climbs, and rugged obstacles, all set against the backdrop of towering machinery and industrial structures.

The reward for your effort? A final climb back to the top and breathtaking panoramic views across Jersey’s north coast.

Supporting Wetwheels Jersey

This event has been created to raise funds and awareness for Wetwheels Jersey, a local charity providing life-changing experiences at sea for disabled people, including those with profound and complex disabilities. Their specially adapted, fully accessible powerboat enables safe, stimulating, and unforgettable adventures on the water.
