I’m taking part in this event to raise awareness and much-needed funds for the incredible work carried out by St John Ambulance Jersey. Their volunteers provide vital first aid support at events across the island, helping to keep our community safe when it matters most.
They are also dedicated to developing the youth and leaders of tomorrow through their Badgers and Cadets programmes, giving young people valuable life skills, confidence, and training. In addition, their Carers Programme supports unpaid informal carers who look after loved ones or friends every day.
Their vision is simple but powerful: everyone who needs first aid should receive it from those around them, and no one should suffer because there are not enough trained first aiders.
Every year, more than 5,000 people in Jersey learn life-saving skills through their training programmes, including hundreds of young people. Their volunteers support most public events across the island and work alongside the States of Jersey Ambulance Service during times of crisis.
By taking part in this event, I hope to help support these essential services and ensure St John Ambulance Jersey can continue making a real difference in our community.

OUR VISION
Everyone who needs it should receive first aid from those around them. No one should suffer for the lack of trained first aiders.
Every year, over 5,000 people, about 5% of the island population learn how to save a life through our training programmes, including hundreds of young people. Our volunteers provide first aid keeping people safe at most island public events, and we work at times of crisis to support the States of Jersey Ambulance Service. We also work in schools to educate young people in first aid and provide a free Carers Programme to help those unpaid informal carers look after a loved one or friend.
The Canaccord Wealth Jersey Half Marathon is a scenic road race which is now in its 37th year. The route takes in the stunning West coast line of Jersey and whilst mainly flat there are a couple of surprises, with a sting in the tail at mile 11!
