About Kayla Mcnaney

Profile picture

Three months ago, we lost my wonderful mum, karen and not a day goes by that she isn’t missed. She was one of the most loving and caring people you could ever meet, always putting others before herself and bringing comfort, kindness and laughter to those around her. She had a way of lighting up every room she walked into, and her warmth touched so many lives.

I am taking part in this event in her memory and to raise funds for Jersey Hospice Care. The support and compassion they provide to individuals and families during incredibly difficult times is invaluable, and I want to help ensure that others can continue to receive that same care.

This challenge is my way of honouring my mum’s memory and celebrating the love and light she brought into the world. Any donation, no matter how small, would mean so much. Thank you for your support and for helping me keep her memory alive.

Fundraising Information

This fundraising page benefits the following good cause:

Jersey Hospice Care

Jersey Hospice Care is the Island’s only hospice – providing specialist palliative care for people with life-limiting conditions. Services include the Specialist Palliative Care Team – who support people at home, in hospital, and in care homes, an In Patient Unit providing a home away from home, educational programmes, complementary therapy, emotional, spiritual and faith support, and community bereavement services. Jersey Hospice Care is an independent charity, providing all its services without a charge to patients. It costs £22,000 a day to run – funded mainly by the generosity of Islanders. This comes in the form of donations, fundraising, and sales in our charity shops, as well as through the outstanding work of the dedicated volunteers who give their time and skills to keep Hospice running.
