About William Bracey-Davis

Why am I putting myself through this challenge?

My mother has lived with cancer throughout her adult life having had three primary cancers: the first, Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, at age 18, then breast cancer at 39 and melanoma 5 years later. The last two were treated by incredible teams at The Royal Marsden, whose care made a huge difference to her and to our family. I was only age 2 at the time of her breast cancer diagnosis, so I had no understanding at the time about the treatment she received. Raising money to fund breast cancer research at the Royal Marsden is my way of thanking the team that treated her when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Supporting me will push me to keep going on the tough mountain climbs knowing that all the money I raise will go directly to fund breast cancer research at The Royal Marsden.

About Le Cure 2026

Dear Curistas

As you probably know, if you've got this far, Le Cure de France is a charity cycling event established in 2014 to raise money for breast cancer research at the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.  So far we have raised over £3.8 million to fund our 8 Le Cure Research Fellowships (and counting), but have much more work to do to help cure cancer.

The route for 2026 includes the formidable Cime de la Bonette (the highest paved road in the Alps), the Col de l'Iseran (the highest mountain pass) and the might Col d'Izoard - fondly remembered from our first ever Le Cure.

Sign up and get cycling!  We can't wait for you to join us in the Alps to raise money to fund new, cutting-edge cancer research at the Royal Marsden Hospital.
