I am going to tackle the Northern Power Ride on the 5th & 6th September. The ride will go from Newcastle to Manchester via Harrogate covering 200 miles over the two days. We will be going through County Durham, up to the Yorkshire Dales and on to Manchester.
This is certainly going to be a challenge for me and will be the toughest ride since getting back on my bike. It will all be worth it…we are raising funds for the brilliant Coram and Crisis.

THE RIDE
This 2 day ride will assemble on Wednesday 4th September at our hotel in Newcastle - Jury's Inn Newcastle Quayside - for check-in (15:00), registration (18:00) and dinner (19:30). The cycle itself will be two full days, beginning on the morning of Thursday 5th September and finishing at approximately 16:30 on Friday 6th September.
Please note: Travel to the start (Newcastle) on Wednesday 4th and from the finish (Manchester) on Friday 6th is not included.
Riders will complete approximately 200miles as we make our way from Newcastle to Manchester via Harrogate.
Day 1 (Thursday 5th September): Newcastle to Harrogate

Day 2 (Friday 6th September): Harrogate to Manchester
*Approx. 08:00 - 17:30
There will be at least three designated stops and 4 stages each day - 1st Stop: coffee, 2nd Stop: lunch, 3rd Stop: coffee. There is the option for riders to take one of these stages off the road should they wish.
