I am riding the 330km (200 mile) Northern Power Ride from Newcastle to Manchester, which will support Coram and Crisis, with funds raised split equally between two charities on 5th and 6th September.
Established in 1739, Coram helps vulnerable children and young people every single year by developing skills, building emotional strength, upholding children’s rights and finding adoptive parents for those in the greatest need.
Crisis provide vital support services in order to help people rebuild their lives and ensure they are supported out of homelessness for good. Crisis offers one to one support, advice and courses for homeless people in 12
areas across the UK.

THE RIDE
This 2 day ride will assemble on Wednesday 4th September at our hotel in Newcastle - Jury's Inn Newcastle Quayside - for check-in (15:00), registration (18:00) and dinner (19:30). The cycle itself will be two full days, beginning on the morning of Thursday 5th September and finishing at approximately 16:30 on Friday 6th September.
Please note: Travel to the start (Newcastle) on Wednesday 4th and from the finish (Manchester) on Friday 6th is not included.
Riders will complete approximately 200miles as we make our way from Newcastle to Manchester via Harrogate.
Day 1 (Thursday 5th September): Newcastle to Harrogate

Day 2 (Friday 6th September): Harrogate to Manchester

There will be at least three designated stops and 4 stages each day - 1st Stop: coffee, 2nd Stop: lunch, 3rd Stop: coffee. There is the option for riders to take one of these stages off the road should they wish.
