Hi! We're taking part in a hitchhike Race 2 Paris starting on the 1st of November :))
We've chosen to raise funds for the wonderful 'Street Child' charity, who since 2008, have helped over 250,000 children go to school, and 25,000 families set up businesses to support the cost of their education in some of the toughest and poorest countries worldwide. This includes Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Liberia, Nepal, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka and Uganda, where Street Child reaches out to even the most remote, fragile, disaster-affected areas with their firm belief that every child deserves opportunities to learn.
Our goal is £600.
This could pay the annual salary of three school teachers in remote regions - making differences to many children and their families.
We are extremely grateful for any donations (no matter how small!) and will be sure to keep you updated on our (hopefully smooth) journey to Paris!

ESCA is led by a student fundraising group who go by the name Edinburgh RAG. They put on numerous events throughout the year including a hitch hike race to Paris and the Meadows Marathon raising money for a wide range of charities.
Race2Paris is a hitchhike race where teams race from Bristo Square, Edinburgh to Paris in the quickest time possible. It allows you to raise money for any charity you choose (with a UK charity no.) whilst having the time of your life!
