I've entered the the Town & Gown 10K for many years. It helped me lose weight and motivated me to keep it off. More importantly it is great to be able to raise money for an excellent cause while achieving personal goals.
Because of the lockdown this year's run around Oxford has been postponed and instead we are least doing the Bollywood style warm up with Jay Kumar. Also because of the Lockdown, Katy is staying with us, so, we'll do the warm-up dancing as a family, with Les, then Katy and I will run 10K locally.
Surely all that's worth a quid or two?

We bring together people affected by more than 60 rare and very rare progressive muscle-weakening and wasting conditions. Muscle-wasting conditions are very rare, affecting just over one in every 1,000 people. As a result, some health professionals may never come across anyone with a muscle-wasting condition and may not know much about them. But we do. Since 1959, we’ve been supporting families living with muscle-wasting conditions. We provide vital information, advice, resources and support for people with these conditions, their families and the professionals who work with them."
A fun event for the scheduled date of Oxford Town and Gown. We may all be locked indoors but the race goes on! So on Sunday 3 May, we’re bringing the race to your home with an online fun and fundraising event hosted by our very own Jay Kumar, compere and Bollywood dance teacher.
